Why Nicky Manaj is the perfect Idol judge.

I don't watch American Idol. I barely ever did, but now I never do. Other than Simon, there was no interest for me. It is basically a popularity contest. Most of the performers end up as nobodys and go back to singing in bars and waiting on tables. That is the reality. A few like Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood and Daughtry would have made it either way.
Since Simon is gone, and Paula has left, that left Randy, and his tired old "its too pitchy, dawg" act. That got tired before it even got tired.

They tried Steven Tyler and J Lo, but who really cares. They are now gone anyway.
The only reason that this show is still on is to milk more ratings and make money. Otherwise it would have been cancelled ages ago. It was a great concept for the first 3 or 4 years, but now it is boring and repetitive.
Enter Mariah Carey and Nicky Manaj.

Say what you will about Mariah, but she has a voice from heaven, is a dynamic performer and she writes great songs. She defines Diva, even if she is a total loon, which she appears to be. Her superstar status is well earned with the product she has put out over the last 20 plus years.
Then we have Nicky Manaj. A rapper. Or as I call her, a Yapper. She just yaps. The kids like her, but they like all sorts of lame acts with no talent. And that is the point.

Nicky Manaj is the perfect judge to have. She has no talent, so she should be the expert on spotting it and removing it from the stage. That is her value. How can Steven Tyler and J Lo, two supremely talented performers spot that. Simon could, because he made a living doing that.
Nicky has made a living getting away with it.
And since there is very little actual talent on the American Idol stage these days, at least they have Mariah and Nicky to fight with each other and create real drama.
Oh, and poor Keith Urban. I guess when he gets home to Nicole Kidman now she won't seem like such a bitch anymore.
And as Randy says, "she's no bitch, dawg!"
