"The" Wrong Stuff

I have never been a fan of American Idol. That is no secret. I do admit that I liked Simon Cowell when he was on it, because he is like me in that he tells it like it is and knows his stuff.

I will also admit that some great artists like Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood and Clay Aiken have come from the show. Others as well. But as a show, I don't like it and never will.

Here is my main beef with the show. As a whole, the talent level sucks.

They are karaoke wannabees who in most cases are marginal singers who copycat songs that they have no business copying. Case in point.

This guy can barely sing. He is okay, but then he goes and takes on a song he has no hope of singing well. That would be bad enough. On top of that,  his English is marginal. They call it American Idol for a reason. Even the Beatles and Abba knew enough to sound American and know the words to the songs they sang.
I do know one thing: Even the newest of immigrants know the word "the". It is a common word. I think it is reasonable to expect that anyone would know the word the. I know Richard Marx knows the lyric is "the" not "da".

Oh, and one other thing. Yo...Randy Jackson..could you please stop using the word "pitchy"? We fucking get it already. Just shut up with the whole pitchy thing. Say something else ...Dawg!

The next pitch is gonna be a fastball under your chin...dawg!
